2 weeks old and and BIG decision

Josh's 2 week mark came with lots of changes. He definitely "woke up" a lot more around 2 weeks and started to be much more vocal! He grunts and makes the most adorable noises when he's sleeping. I love it! He came around to bath time and started enjoying being in his tub. He definitely did NOT like being cold once he got out though!

We also had a VanLue family dinner with grandparents, aunts and uncles and cousins. It was fun to see everyone and introduce them to our boy!

Not only was our little dude growing and changing daily but we made a HUGE decision as a family this week as well.

About 2 weeks before Josh was born Jon had decided to search for a new job. He wasn't thinking necessarily of leaving his current job right away, but wanted to explore the market a bit and see if there was anything better out there. Our lease on our apartment was ending in a couple months so we were also trying to jumpstart the packing process, but still thinking we would move somewhere else in Orlando.

The search for jobs in Orlando didn't have many results, at least not many worth pursuing. So, Jon decided to search for jobs in his hometown of Charlotte, NC. We had always felt that God would lead us back to Charlotte at some point but we thought it would be years down the road. Little did we know!

Jon's search for jobs in NC had almost immediate results. He was getting numerous phone calls and emails within 8 hours of posting his resume. He was having phone interviews and talking to recruiters while we were in the hospital having Josh! (Because you know we had nothing else going on or anything!) When Josh was not even 2 weeks old, Jon drove to NC for a face to face interview (without anyone except family knowing) and Josh and I stayed at my parents for a couple days.

Long story short, the Lord answered our prayers for clear direction and Jon ended up having a great face to face interview with Wells Fargo and got offered a terrific job. We prayed that the Lord would open doors if we were supposed to move and he definitely did that, and super quickly! 30 minutes after Jon's interview he was offered the job...Ok Lord we hear you! We prayed and sought counsel and knew this was God leading us. So Jon accepted the position and we began packing like crazy and preparing for our new life in Charlotte. We would be moving in less than a month!

Here's some photos from that crazy week!
